Class of 2018

Max Moosburger: Born and raised somewhere up in the Austrian alps, Max is a Junior in the Dual BA program between Sciences Po and Columbia University. Having spent the last two years in France studying Politics, he's now a Financial Econ major who hopes to work in Social Finance. He likes to spend his free time on the water, sailing or in the mountains, skiing. Also, he enjoys spending his Friday and Saturday nights in warehouses and clubs listening to bass-heavy techno. He really misses Austrian beer.

Pathit Ongvasith: Pathit is a junior at GS pursuing a major in economics. He has spent the last two years in France as part of the SciencesPo-Columbia Dual BA program. His interests include lifting heavy objects, talking to strangers, and occasionally showing up to rugby practices. Born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand it has been his lifelong dream to retire at the ripe old age of 45 to author children's books.

Alan Blaesser: Alan is a sophomore from Weston, Massachusetts, where he attended Weston High School and captained the school's swim and crew teams. At Columbia, Alan is majoring in Sustainable Development and Business Management, and has an interest in sustainable project finance. He is a member of the National Champion Men’s Lightweight Crew Team. Alan is an entrepreneur, starting his own private sailing and seafood businesses.

Jordy Portugal: Jordy is a sophomore in Columbia College studying Economics and Statistics. His passions include watching Barcelona whoop up on people, and getting whooped up on himself in Fifa by his brothers.

Sebastian Espinosa: Seb is a sophomore in Columbia College studying Economics, and History. He’s a graduate of Palmer Trinity School and a Miami native, but he always dreamed of moving to New York where he could join a fraternity. On Campus, he's involved in the Men of Color Alliance and Res Life. In his free time, you can find him at an art gallery, movie theater, bookstore, or wandering New York. He hopes to pursue his love of making spreadsheets by working in consulting or finance after he graduates.

Nicholas Cornejo: Nic is a freshman in seas from Long Beach California majoring in Computer Engineering. His interests include playing video games, watching steelers football, and eating Ferris Biscuits. Nic hopes to someday enter the tech industry and become a hardware design specialist.

Nikola Danev: Nikola (CC’20) is from Skopje, Macedonia. He is currently studying Neuroscience and Behavior and is following the pre-med curriculum. His interests include shredding gnar as a member of the Columbia Ski Team, and diplomacy, which he pursues as a member of the Youth Council of the US Embassy in Macedonia.

Evan Lander: A freshman in SEAS, Evan attended high school in Long Island, New York. He is studying Operations Research with a minor in Sustainable Engineering. Outside of the classroom, Evan is an avid tennis fan and is patiently awaiting the reemergence of his favorite player Roger Federer. He also is a professional thumb war player.

Sean Taylor: When he's not working on his banter in Sigma Nu, Sean enjoys traveling all across the globe in search for the meaning of life: from Singapore to France to India to Dubai, and even Montana. So far, he has only discovered that sick high-fives and sahvage memes ascend you to a higher dimension.

Michael Crappotta: Michael is a Columbia College freshman from Long Island, NY. Before coming to Columbia, he attended Garden City High School. He intends to major in Economics and Political Science. Outside of the classroom, Michael is Founder and President of his own company and an editor for Columbia Economics Review. An avid opera singer, Michael has performed at Carnegie Hall on multiple occasions. In his free time, Michael enjoys fishing, off-roading, and scuba diving.

Rumi Sherriff: Rumi is a freshman in Columbia College currently studying Chemistry and following the pre-med curriculum. Although born a minute from campus at St. Luke’s, he grew up in Fresno, Ca where he attended Edison High School. In his free time, Rumi enjoys soccer, skiing, and conversations about partition. He is a diehard Liverpool FC soccer fan and as a result is in a prolonged state of suffering. Additionally, he has a genetically inferior clone who also attends Columbia University.
